Herd Reproduction Department

Reproduction is one of the most important elements in increasing the production of milk and meat, depending on the solution of a number of technological issues.

The Herd Reproduction Department provides:

• organization of herd reproduction in the public livestock sector of the Mogilev region;
• organizing the development and implementation of regional programs for the reproduction of farm animals;
• introduction of artificial insemination of farm animals and rearing of young animals;
• holding district and regional competitions for artificial insemination of cattle;
• provides practical and advisory assistance on the reproduction of the herd;
• organizes training of zoo veterinarians on issues of herd reproduction and reduction of infertility of cows and heifers;
• exercises control over the fulfillment of the completed tasks for the reproduction of the herd in agricultural organizations of the Mogilev region;
• monthly draws up a plan for monitoring the work on the reproduction of the herd in agricultural organizations of the Mogilev region;
• in accordance with the developed monitoring plan, analyzes the work of district groups for the reproduction of the herd and the situation on the ground.
• develops and brings to the attention of the management of the rayselkhozprodov recommendations for the treatment and prevention of obstetric and gynecological pathology of cows and heifers in the context of agricultural organizations of the regions.
