Dairy laboratory
A dairy laboratory for determining the quality indicators of milk was established in August 2008 in the Mogilev region on the basis of RUSPP "Mogilev State Breeding Enterprise" to conduct laboratory studies to determine the quality indicators of milk (fat, protein, somatic cells).
The dairy laboratory for determining the quality indicators of milk is equipped with 2 milk analyzers:
CombiFoss 5000 (MilkoSkan 4000, Fossomatic 5000) capacity is 200 milk samples per hour – 33600 milk samples per month.
Delta CombiScope FTIR 300 HP productivity is 300 milk samples per hour, 50400 milk samples per month.
To control the correct operation of the devices, verification is carried out daily by verification samples, monthly by calibration samples of RUE “Regional Laboratory for Determination of Quality Indicators of Milk”.
In addition, according to the methodology for performing daily measurements, to check the instruments in the dairy laboratory to determine the quality indicators of milk, samples of our own production are used according to quality indicators: mass fraction of fat, protein, somatic cells.
The dairy laboratory for determining the quality indicators of milk was accredited on December 18, 2015. The certificate was issued by the Belarusian State Accreditation Center (BSCA). The scope of accreditation is the mass fraction of fat, protein, the number of somatic cells.
Since January 2016, the milk laboratory has been automatically transmitting data to the program "Database of Milk Samples" version dated May 26, 2016. In 2016, out of 167 agricultural organizations in the region, 102 farms or 61% of their total number were examined in the dairy laboratory. In 2017, 166 farms conducted a qualitative analysis of milk, which amounted to 99%. The coverage of the controlled livestock in 2017 amounted to 126868 heads or 98% of the total number of dairy cows.
Evaluation of bulls by the quality of offspring is carried out in 74 farms of the region, where a qualitative analysis of milk is carried out monthly.
